Frequently Asked Questions

We want families to feel informed, comfortable and welcome when they connect with our organization. Here are answers to some common questions about what families can expect.

Is The Nursing Nest only for breastfeeding families?

No. Our organization supports families no matter how they feed their baby. Caregivers are welcome whether they breastfeed, pump, bottle-feed, combination feed or simply need a calmer place to care for their baby during an event.

Who is this initiative for?

This initiative is for families with infants who need a private, supportive place to care for their baby while attending community events.

Our infant care areas are designed to support parents and caregivers during a season when public spaces can feel stressful, overwhelming or difficult to navigate with a baby.

What kinds of infant care support are available?

Support may include comfortable seating, privacy options, diaper changing support and a calmer environment where families can care for their babies during events.

Each event setup may look slightly different depending on the location, layout and event needs.

Is there a cost for families to use the nursing nest?

No. Families can use The Nursing Nest at no cost during participating community events.

This work is made possible through donations, sponsorships, grants and event partnerships.

Can I use The Nursing Nest if I am bottle-feeding?

Yes. Bottle-feeding families are welcome. This initiative is designed to support families with infants, not only breastfeeding mothers.

Can I use the infant care stations if I just need a calm place to care for my baby?

Yes. Families may use The Nursing Nest to take a calmer moment, regroup and care for their baby in a more supportive environment before returning to the event.

Do Central Ohio events offer nursing and infant care areas?

The Nursing Nest partners with festivals and community events across Central Ohio to provide staffed care areas for families with infants.

Families can visit The Nursing Nest when they need a dedicated place to care for their baby. The service is free for families.

Where can I find upcoming events?

Upcoming appearances and community events will be shared on the Find Us page as they are announced.

Can event organizers invite the mobile program to an event?

Yes. Event organizers, community groups, municipalities, businesses and partner organizations are encouraged to reach out through the Invite Us page to learn more.

Our organization partners with events that want to reduce barriers for families with infants and create a more supportive guest experience.

How can I support this work?

You can support this work by donating, volunteering, becoming a sponsor or helping connect us with event partnership opportunities.

Every contribution helps expand infant care access and support families with infants at community events.
