Is The Nursing Nest only for breastfeeding families?

No. Our organization supports families no matter how they feed their baby. Caregivers are welcome whether they breastfeed, pump, bottle-feed, combination feed or simply need a calmer place to care for their baby during an event.

Who is this initiative for?

This initiative is for families with infants who need a private, supportive place to care for their baby while attending community events.

Our infant care areas are designed to support parents and caregivers during a season when public spaces can feel stressful, overwhelming or difficult to navigate with a baby.

What kinds of infant care support are available?

Support may include comfortable seating, privacy options, diaper changing support and a calmer environment where families can care for their babies during events.

Each event setup may look slightly different depending on the location, layout and event needs.

Is there a cost for families to use the nursing nest?

No. Families can use The Nursing Nest at no cost during participating community events.

An infant care area is a dedicated place where families can comfortably care for their babies during a public event. The Nursing Nest creates staffed infant care areas where caregivers can feed, pump, change diapers, prepare bottles, soothe babies, or take a quieter moment without having to leave the event.

Who provides infant care areas at festivals in Central Ohio?

The Nursing Nest provides staffed infant care areas at festivals and community events throughout Central Ohio. We partner with cities, event organizers, community organizations, and sponsors to make public events more accessible and supportive for families with babies.

What can families use The Nursing Nest for?

Families can use The Nursing Nest for breastfeeding, pumping, bottle feeding, bottle preparation, diaper changes, soothing, and other infant care needs. Our goal is to give caregivers a clean, welcoming place to care for their baby while remaining connected to the event and their community.

Can fathers and bottle-feeding caregivers use The Nursing Nest?

Yes. The Nursing Nest is for all caregivers and all feeding choices. Fathers, partners, grandparents, bottle-feeding caregivers, breastfeeding parents, pumping parents, and other caregivers are welcome to use the infant care area with their babies.

Does The Nursing Nest provide breastfeeding and pumping space?

Yes. The Nursing Nest provides a comfortable place for breastfeeding and pumping at the community events we serve. Families may also use the space for bottle feeding, diaper changes, soothing, and other infant care needs.

How can an event organizer bring an infant care area to their event?

Event organizers can invite The Nursing Nest to provide a staffed infant care area at their festival, community event, or family gathering. Visit our Invite Us page to tell us about your event, and our team will follow up about availability, setup needs, and partnership options.

Can I use the infant care stations if I just need a calm place to care for my baby?

Yes. Families may use The Nursing Nest to take a calmer moment, regroup and care for their baby in a more supportive environment before returning to the event.

The Nursing Nest partners with festivals and community events across Central Ohio to provide staffed care areas for families with infants.

Families can visit The Nursing Nest when they need a dedicated place to care for their baby. The service is free for families.
