Our mobile program brings private infant care accommodations to events across Central Ohio, helping families participate more comfortably while caring for their babies.
We support maternal mental health by reducing some of the stress, overwhelm and isolation that can come with navigating public spaces during the postpartum and infant-care season.
How Our Initiative Supports Families
The Nursing Nest provides a welcoming mobile environment where families with infants can step away from the crowd and care for their babies with privacy, comfort and support.
By bringing infant care access directly to festivals, markets and public gatherings, our team helps families stay connected to community life while meeting their baby’s needs.
This work supports comfort, accessibility and maternal wellbeing by reducing barriers that can make public events harder for parents and caregivers of infants.
What Families Can Expect
Private Care Accommodations
Families have access to a calm, welcoming place where they can care for their baby during events. This may include support for feeding, pumping, diaper changing, soothing or simply taking a quieter moment together.
Comfort and Privacy
Our mobile setup is designed to offer a more comfortable alternative to caring for an infant in a restroom, vehicle or crowded public area. Parents and caregivers can use The Nursing Nest to regroup and return to the event with greater support.
Supportive Event Experience
The Nursing Nest helps families remain part of the event around them. With infant care access available onsite, caregivers are less likely to feel that they have to leave early or miss community gatherings because their baby needs care.
A Mobile Approach to Family Support
Our mobile model allows us to support families at festivals, farmers markets, health events and family-centered gatherings.
